I acknowledge First Nations peoples as the first and continuing custodians of the lands on which I live and work. I pay my respects to their Elders and Ancestors.

Caitlin Cummane considers the complexities of long-term relationships in her installations that use photography, video, and sculpture and spatial practice. She has been actively documenting and distilling her most intimate relationships since 2009. These records capture fleeting moments of vulnerability, joy, fear and grief to compile an understanding of shifting states between her and her subjects.
