The volume of a photograph/A photograph with less memory

September 2017

Testing Grounds (Melbourne Fringe Festival), Naarm/Melbourne

Photographs are taking off and landing points, they allow for an occupation of indistinct, non-specific, and non-temporal spaces.

These collapsing spaces threaten images and subjects; they threaten beauty and love; they reveal their precariousness and fragility; they expose them to big lights, spaces and winds, reaffirming their presence, their physical state in the world, their preciousness.

I address memory, thought and feeling in order to release the potential in these images: for continuity, an arc or trajectory; for noise, containment and release.
